Our tips

Top tips

Alcazar is usually much less crowded than Cordoba’s Alhambra.

You probably won’t spend more than 10 minutes in the waiting line to buy your tickets, but consider buying them online to guarantee your entry during high season (mostly April-May, September, & Easter week).

Coming in the morning or after 15:00 is the best solution to avoid crowds and if you come in the summer, to enjoy the gardens when it’s not too hot. Since tour groups start arriving at 11 am, 9.30-11.00 is the best time slot for your crowd-free visit.

If you hold a Sevilla Card, just bypass the queue at the ticket office and go straight inside the palace!

It’s the oldest Royal Palace in Europe and is still the official residence of the King of Spain in Seville.

Alcazar is used for filming part of season 5 of the series “Game of Thrones”.
