Tips to avoid crowds
- Buy your tickets online to save time (when the official website works, which is not always the case). However, note that you will still have to wait anyway. The Tower is quite small and tourists are allowed to go inside only bit by bit, so the queue can become pretty long. Choosing to visit the Tower in the last two hours of opening is not a good option as you might not even be able to get to the entrance in high season.
- If you also consider visiting the Jerónimos Monastery, get a combined ticket so that you can skip the line at the other attraction.
