Tips for your visit
Avoid visiting the Imperial War Museum of London in August, that’s the busiest month. Easter holidays and autumn break are another periods to avoid - it may become very overcrowded inside!
The calmest period at IWM London is from November to January: crowds won’t bother you, we promise! September and June are slightly more crowded, but still give a great opportunity to discover museum without queues and tons of visitors.
Choose an afternoon for your visit, mornings tend to be more crowded. The best time to come is around two hours before the closing time - that’s when IWM is at its calmest.
Try to avoid Saturday, it’s the busiest day of the week. Pick Sunday if you don’t have other choice but visiting during the weekend. Wednesday is usually the least crowded day of the week, though the difference is not that big, and coming on a weekday afternoon will generally let you avoid the crowds even during the high season.
