Pena Palace

• You can buy your tickets online to save time. If you wish to visit the National Palace of Pena as well as the Palace of Sintra, we advize you to buy a combined ticket so that you can skip the line when visiting the second Palace.
• Pena is the most popular Palace and crowds inside the building can ruin your visit. The best option is probably to visit Pena at the opening time and then go to Sintra in the afternoon.
• If you count on public transportation to go back to Lisbon at the end of the day, visiting Pena in the afternoon is not a good option. The Palace is completely isolated on top of a hill and there’s usually a huge queue to get on the only bus that takes you to Lisbon. If you’re not alone, Uber can be a good option. It will be more expensive but your journey back to the capital city will only take you 30 minutes instead of 1h - 1h30.
