Best time to visit the Tretyakov Gallery
The best time to visit the Tretyakov Gallery is either in the morning on weekdays or on Thursday and Friday evening when the Gallery is open until 9pm.
If you decide to go to the Tretyakov Gallery during the weekend or on a holiday, we advise you to visit it in the morning to avoid queueing at the ticket office and the cloakroom. Try to come at the Gallery opening hour (10am).
Free admission days
On the first and second Sundays of each month, admission to the Gallery is free for Russian and foreign students of Art and Architecture studying in Russia.
Every Friday, the entrance for large families’ members is free (only for Russian and CIS citizens, the Russian Commonwealth).

Prices for combined tickets for the main building and the building of the Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val:
- Adults: 800 rubles
- Adults (citizens of Russia and CIS countries): 600 rubles
- Schoolchildren, students: 400 rubles
- Reduced rate: 250 rubles (pensioners, Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, Russian universities students)
